At Charlotte City Pets, the safety and well being of clients and the community are top priorities. In response to the evolving impact of COVID-19, my current practices include the following measures to ensure the health and safety of all, while maintaining the highest level of service.
Updated Safety Protocol, June 2020
Meet & Greet
Until we have a vaccine, the safest approach is to conduct initial consultations in nearby parks.
In adherence to CDC guidelines, I wear a cloth mask at all times. While outdoors, 6 feet of social distance will be maintained when possible.
Personal antibacterial hand wipes or a bottle of hand sanitizer are always within easy reach.
Contactless (sort of) Dog Walking
To keep everyone safe, it is requested that your pup(s) and any necessary supplies be placed as close as possible to your front door. As I have done for years, I will use my own leash. And when in contact with you, I will maintain a safe distance.
Limiting Home Exposure
While in your home I prefer to limit my range and touch as few things as possible. To that end, keeping all necessary pet supplies in one place benefits everyone.
Before leaving your home I will wipe down the things that had to be touched. Leaving sanitizing supplies for me to use will be much appreciated.
You will be notified immediately if I experience symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or find out I have been exposed to someone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
Additional Safety Considerations
Let me know if you would like additional safety precautions such as shoe coverings or gloves.
Thank you for your continued support of Charlotte City Pets!
